This award-winning publication explores the work of textile designer Leila Vibert-Stokes. Scanned and manipulated photos of embroidery contrast with bitmap type and digital ‘threads.’

The commission was to create two illustrations that gave an impression of the variety of support service roles found in a busy hospital. A restricted colour palette and simplified characters created an accessible, clean look.

Professional and Academic Contexts 

A3 magazine

2017

This magazine uses an A2 spread size to celebrate the work of six speakers who gave talks to our Design for Visual Communication class. This publication uses the concept of ‘the new old’, relating to the use of graphic design as either an act of creating, rewriting or celebrating memory. I took photos at Thamesmead, a Brutalist housing estate in South London. Azkidenz Grotesk and and exposed grid mimic the Brutalism architecture photography.

This project comprises three publications which were designed to showcase the pathology collection at the Gordon Museum. At this collection is closed to the general public, the challenge was to encapsulate the large and varied collection in this series of publications.

This publication markets the a hospital's venues and catering services for  to an external market. The challenge was to highlight and promote a number of unique venues to people who may not know that a hospital would have such spaces.
